Now why would Japan black out the radioactivity readings closest to the nuclear plants?

Hmmm...  Why would whoever is running the emergency operations at the Fukushima reactors not want to make those readings available?  Bueller?  Bueller?  Now of course it could merely be coincidence but take a look back at every nuclear disaster or near-disaster in history (Bikini Atoll, early Soviet nuke subs, Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, etc.) and notice what they all have in common: Early disinformation about what was occurring followed by (at least in some cases) drastic repercussions.  Let's hope and pray that is not what is happening here.
