I love to see when people convert old informational material into a contemporary form so we can all make use of it. In this case the above link is to a file called "The Home Vegetable Garden" from 1931 and gives a lot of useful ideas about how much food you need to produce to feed a family and thus how large your garden must be. I haven't read the entire piece but I certainly plan to as we launch into our gardening/small-scale farming efforts here.
